Psalms 89 : 36,29
Chapter 89

His seed shall endure forever, And his throne as the sun before Me; |

His seed also I will make to endure forever, And his throne as the days of heaven. |
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Our Lord God, Savior, and King of us all, Jesus Christ, the Living Son of God to whom be glory forever.

Chapter 9

And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, "Who do the crowds say that I am?" |

So they answered and said, "John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again." |
| 20 |
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said, "The Christ of God." |
| 21 |
And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, |
| 22 |
saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day." |
| 23 |
Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. |
| 24 |
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. |
| 25 |
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? |
| 26 |
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels. |
| 27 |
But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God." |
And Glory be to God forever.

And he looked up and said, "I see men like trees, walking." |
| 25 |
Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. |

Then He sent him away to his house, saying, "Neither go into the town, nor tell anyone in the town." |

Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, "Who do men say that I am?" |

Hebrews 4 : 14 - 5 : 14
Chapter 4

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. |
| 15 |
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. |
| 16 |
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. |
Chapter 5
| 1 |
For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. |
| 2 |
He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness. |
| 3 |
Because of this he is required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins. |

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, |

called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek," |

of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. |
| 12 |
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. |
| 13 |
For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. |
| 14 |
But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. |
The grace of God the Father be with you all.

Acts 12 : 1 - 24

Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. |

Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. |
| 3 |
And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. |
| 4 |
So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. |
| 5 |
Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. |
| 6 |
And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. |
| 7 |
Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands. |
| 8 |
Then the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and tie on your sandals"; and so he did. And he said to him, "Put on your garment and follow me." |
| 9 |
So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. |
| 10 |
When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. |
| 11 |
And when Peter had come to himself, he said, "Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people." |
| 12 |
So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying. |
| 13 |
And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. |
| 14 |
When she recognized Peter's voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate. |
| 15 |
But they said to her, "You are beside yourself!" Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, "It is his angel." |
| 16 |
Now Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished. |
