شهدت منافسات اليوم ببطولة كأس الأمم الأفريقية لكرة القدم للساق الواحدة، والتى تقام بالقاهرة فى الفترة من 17 إلى 27 مايو الجارى بملاعب القطامية ببتروسبورت، التى تقام تحت رعاية شركة ستادات للاستثمار الرياضى، فوز منتخبى جامبيا وأوغندا على كلا من كينيا وبوروندى على الترتيب فى مباريات ترتيب المراكز من التاسع الى الثانى عشر.
فى المباراة الأولى فاز منتخب جامبيا على نظيره كينيا بنتيجة 1/0، وسجل الهدف للمنتخب الجامبى بكارى برو، بينما حصل على جائزة أفضل لاعب إبراهيما جالو لاعب منتخب جامبيا، واحتل المنتخب الجامبى المركز التاسع بينما حقق منتخب كينيا المركز العاشر.

وفى المباراة الثانية فاز منتخب أوغندا على نظيره بوروندى بتيجة 3/1، بعد أن انتهى الوقت الأصلى للمباراة بهدف لكل منتخب، وتم اللجوء الى اشواط اضافية، وفاز بجائزة أفضل لاعب برايم كانيوكى لاعب منتخب أوغندا واحتل المنتخب الأوغندى المركز الحادى عشر، بينما منتخب بوروندي المركز الثانى عشر.
وحسم كل من الجزائر والمغرب وغانا ونيجيريا التأهل لنصف نهائي بطولة أمم أفريقيا لكرة القدم للساق الواحدة. وفي أولى مباريات دور ربع النهائي تأهلت الجزائر إلى نصف نهائي بطولة أمم أفريقيا لكرة القدم للساق الواحدة بعد الفوز على أنجولا بنتيجة 2-1 في ربع نهائي البطولة.
وفي ثاني مباريات الدور ربع النهائي، تغلبت غانا على تنزانيا بنتيجة 4-1 لتصعد للمربع الذهبي وفاز بجائزة أفضل لاعب حمزة محمد لاعب منتخب غانا.
وفي ثالث المباريات خسر منتخب مصر لكرة القدم للساق الواحدة من المنتخب المغربي بنتيجة 4 -2 في دور الثمانية.
ومن المقرر أن تكون مواجهات نصف النهائي كالتالي:
المغرب × نيجيريا
غانا × الجزائر
ويلعب منتخب مصر مع ليبيريا غدا السبت حيث ينافس منتخب مصر على تحديد المراكز ويملك فرصة للتأهل لكأس العالم في حالة تواجده ضمن أفضل 6 مراكز بالبطولة.
وتشهد البطولة مشاركة 13 دولة على النحو التالي: جامبيا، سنغال، سيراليون، الجزائر، كينيا، المغرب، بوروندي، غانا، أوغندا، أنجولا، نيجيريا، تنزانيا، ليبيريا بالإضافة إلى مصر مستضيفة البطولة.
